Spring Break in Lake Lure, NC

We had a great time over Spring Break in Lake Lure, North Carolina. We rented a cabin with our friends the Halls and the Crawfords. Here is a picture of the cabin. It sat on a hill.
Fischer and Sam catching some rays.

Fischer eating a s'more. It was the first one that he has ever finished He loved it. Notice the Spiderman sweatshirt. He wears it everyday.
Fischer had been carrying around a small box of matches for about two weeks before our trip saying that he was going to start a fire with dad when we went camping. So, Matt let him start a fire with one of his matches. They did it using only one match!
Everyone always comments on how much Sophie looks like me, but I think she looks like her dad in this picture. She is just starting to talk. She just learned yesterday to say "dog" and "ruff ruff".
There was an air hockey table at the cabin and she loved to have her dad push her on it.
There was also a pool table.
Kelly got the boys fishing poles. They loved them! We took the kids fishing and were able to catch a couple of fish. It was a lot of fun.
Sophie kept chasing the ducks. She was eating an apple and one of them took it out of her hands. That terrified her and she didn't chase them anymore.
Matt with the kids, Fischer, Sophie, Sam and Liam.
Trevor caught a fish. Logan wasn't too sure what to think of it.
Fischer and his first fish ever. If you ask him how big it was he stretches his arms as wide as he can and says, "it was this big". He is already a true fisherman.
Sam and Fischer playing with the bait fish.

The Crawford family, Chris, Kelly, Sam and Liam. (and a little girl on the way!)

This is the play area and volleyball court on the land of the cabin. There was also a big grass field. The kids loved it. It was great to have somewhere to let them run around.

This is a pavilion right next to the volleyball court. We had tin foil dinners out here one night.
This is for my parents. The interior of the cabin was decorated with things from Africa and Mexico. It was great because that's how my parents house is decorated, since they lived in Africa and Mexico. I have never seen anywhere decorated like that before, so I had to take a couple of pictures as proof. Notice the African heads on one shelf and the Mexican houses on the next. It was great!
