We have had a fun week! We had a great Thanksgiving with Matt's family. I of course forgot to take pictures. But here are some pictures from our adventure in cutting down our Christmas tree. Our ceilings are high and so our tree this year is 18 feet!
Here's the gang. Jackie and Brian and their kids cut down a tree too. Matt's Dad cut down a tree. And Kip and John came along to help out.
We built a fire and cooked hot dogs.
The kids had more fun playing in the back of the car rather than by the fire.
Here's the tree on top of the car. It took us an hour to get home and a ton of people took pictures as they drove past us.
The best part of decorating the tree was the kids getting to climb up the ladder.
We went to a community lighting the trees festival. It was a lot of fun.
The kids were dancing to some Christmas music as we waited to meet Santa.
The kids got to meet Santa! Fischer said, "I'm glad I met Santa so that now I know what the real Santa looks like."
John and Fish in front of some of the lights.
My Mom passed away one year ago last week. We were able to put flowers on her grave and think about what a wonderful person she is. This is me with Finn and Fish, and my brothers Kip and John.
