This is Fischer's first real rappel. He loved it! He did it a few times and got more nervous the more times he did it, but he kept wanting to go again.
This is what Sophie was doing while Fischer was rappelling, playing with Hawley.
Here's Fish coming down.
Sophie wanted to sit in the harness for a minute, but said it was "too scary for Sophie."
Matt hiking with the kiddos.
The love birds! They were so nice to help with the kids on the hikes.
The boys. Fischer was feeling sick so he got to go in the backpack for awhile.
We let Fischer rappel again the second day.
Hawley having a little fun rappelling.

It got pretty warm on our hikes. Hawley even had shorts on. So we were quite surprised when we drove up the mountain to see The General Sherman Tree, which is the largest tree in the world, and we found tons of snow! And then it started snowing.
Fischer held it and it took awhile for us to convince him to let it go.
Stopping to eat lunch.
You can see the coast in the background.
Playing at the beach. We found sand dollars.
Last weekend we went on a hike in the Big Basin State Park. There were tons of these huge yellow Banana Slugs. Fischer had to stop and touch each one. Sophie was even brave enough to touch a few, but only because they were yellow.
Stopping to eat lunch.
Sophie kept staring at Matt while he was chewing. She kept asking him to open his mouth to show her that the food was gone.
This is Sophie's favorite spot. Sitting in her blue chair, with her quack quack, blanket and putting her toes near the heater.
On St. Patrick's Day we had a little play group party. It was a lot of fun.
Here are all of the kids. What a fun day!
We are off for another adventure tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed the computer keeps working and we can post again soon!Fischer rappelling!
